Our work
Mission 108 fully-funds a safe house in the epicenter of human trafficking on the Nepal-India border and has connections with local Indian government officials. So, we are able to not only rescue girls and give them hope for a better future, but to also impact the social injustice caused by India’s Caste System.
With your support, we have been able to fully-fund the safe house for 7 years and fight for an end to human trafficking in India and the US through our local and global intiatives.
Mission 108 works to end human trafficking in India by partnering with local law enforcement, government, and grassroots organizations that identify victims of exploitation, organize and facilitate investigations, brothel raids and rescues.
Staff from the Mission 108 safehouse train local government officials and police officers on best practices, including opening up an entirely female run call center which has led to an increase in the level of reporting.
Though rescued victims are free from human trafficking, they continue to be trapped by the emotional trauma, a lack of education, and Indian Caste System, which views trafficked girls as less than property.
Following point-of-rescue, Mission 108 provides survivors a safe environment for healing, restoration, education and job training through our Nai Asha safehouse.
Our safe house is 100% Indian run and is the last safehouse supported by the Indian Government to continue operating. We are located in the epicenter of the most affected location in the world.
To continue rescuing more people from human trafficking and giving them an opprotunity for restoration, the Indian government needs to consider them victims rather than a participant in a crime. Our advocacy team works to educate the Indian government and fights for human rights for all females in India.
Mission 108 believes education is the key to prevention. We go into schools across the United States and present to middle and high school students about self esteem, healthy relationships, and human trafficking prevention and awareness. As a result of this initiative, we have had students write to us and tell us they have experienced sexual abuse or have siblings who have gone through it, which increases the chances of human trafficking dramatically. The things they are learning are real, needed, and appreciated.
We also go to hospitals, churches, businesses, and other organizations to raise awareness about human trafficking in the United States and what you can do as community members to help save lives.

Known sources of future capital allow us to effectively plan how we can provide hope for more rescued girls and invest deeper into advocating for social justice in India and Kentucky. If you have a heart for this ministry, please consider making a lasting impact by offering a recurring gift to Mission 108. Leaving a recurring gift is a personal decision that should be made with the assistance of a financial planner. We thank you for your consideration.

“We were lucky enough to have Courtney come speak to our Emergency Department staff in March, right before the Derby season in Louisville. Her talk sparked awareness about the reality of human trafficking right here in our own backyard, which we did not know existed, and what we can do as healthcare workers to help the victims. Courtney educated the staff on what signs to look for as indicators that a patient might be a victim of human trafficking and what to do if you suspect someone is a victim.”

“As a teacher, I am always looking for new ways to engage my students. Recently, I had a student mention to me that he wished we could learn more about real-life, relevant material. When I learned of Mission 108 I knew that this would not only engage my students but that it was necessary for my students to hear about this crisis.
My expectations were surpassed by the speaker, Courtney Evans. Our school is a diverse community and my students are an especially vulnerable group in that many of them are immigrants and refugees. Courtney made them feel comfortable, listened to their comments and questions, and presented the material in a sensitive and professional manner.”

“When Brittany came to speak at our church about Mission 108, we were greatly impacted by their values and mission.. Mission 108 reflects the heart of God in all that they do by reaching those entrenched in suffering and bondage. By infusing love, grace, healing and the tools necessary to bring about change, Mission 108 is determined to see hearts restored and hope made alive. The ministry is one that will help heal and change the world in the face of hopelessness.”
